SPOILER WARNING..........The ending of a few chapters on what life was like after shinzan was killed gave the story closure that isn't common in books then when it hit the prologue and I see the man I thought was dead never to return still alive my heart lept with joy the old sack of turnips was alive!! That was what brought some of the most joy from me if only he and ethan had gotten to have one last conversation then it would have been total perfection.

Brian Anderson never disappoints
A fitting end to great series! It left me with a feeling of wanting more. This series was superbly written and the time line from book to book was smooth. It would be satisfying if there was one more book.
Good surprise ending. An appreciated lack of swelling manhood. A well written ending to the series that made it worth it to finish all 5 books.
Easy read and events flow nicely. Sums up the whole series nicely with quite a few surprises. Will read again

The ending was a bit of a letdown. But I did read the whole series and I did like it a lot.
